Online career package-A Scam !!

This site looks very similar to another scam(home wealth solution) site i recently covered. It has also got another page which is made  to look like a news story, in it a news channel 11 is covering a story about a single mom who randomly discovers a package which supposidly gives her the divine powers to beat recession, she says even though she has no computer skills she make 3000-4000$ a month which just "online career package" and her internet connection. As all scam sites do, they show proof of payments and  testimonials(in every testimonial the package is being acclaimed as the best thing ever). The site makes huge statements which no proof to back them up. At the end they have also got a comment section in which commenting by commoners like us is not possible. The page has a link which take  you to the actual site from where you can purchase the  product. This package is a scam, plz don't fall for it,earning money online is not as easy as they want you to believe and many legit online money making sites are free to sign up,join the one which interests you and start making money, good luck!

This  site should be ashamed of themselves they cant even come up with a idea of a scam themselves.(I am just saying it actually i don't know which one copied the other one or they both might even be from the scammer!!).

New online career package
Home Wealth Solution

online career package

Update: online career package.com has been redesigned , new front page looks similar to the old one with some minor changes. Form asking for basic information is still there, on filling the form you are taken to another page where a 5 day trail is being offered for $1.95, a counter is also present showing that only 5 min are remaining in buying this package, BTW the counter will be refreshed when it reaches zero. After 5 days of purchasing online career package your credit card will be charged for $29.95 each month. Stay away from this website its still a scam, but now under a new skin

  1. I totally agree with this, I got suckered into it. Beware of the signup process, it will tell you there are limited places available and signup now. After getting through the initial screen, you are advised that you need to pay an initial small amt $1.95 to have your website created and prove you are a real person. Stupidly I went thru the process to sign up, yet after I entered my details, I was advised that all the places were filled and my credit card would not be charged -- WRONG !!! I had a charge come thru my card two days later from a group called MYMONTHLYWEBFEE.COM. I am currently in process of having this disputed to make sure no further monthly payments of $29.95 are deducted. Whatever you do, don't get sucked into this one !!!

I'm not sure, but how do we report this site to prevent others being scammed ?

  3. I have always been very careful about this online business but this time around was unfortunate because a colleague sent their advert into my email box and did not verify their credibility before signing up because of the credibility of the friend. I was tricked into their program with little charges of $1.95 and $89.85, I thought this was an end to begin working from home, later after 3days another call came requesting me to participate in a business development program $1,445, $2,445 and $3,445 in order to direct huge traffics to my site which will bring serious buyers and which will bring money, this time I realized I was in the hand of scammers. I called my bank to cancel the payments but futile, I called mothlywebfee.com to refund my $91+ charged to my card but said they can not refund as they were optional products I purchased.
Conclusively, please dont be a victim, they are scams.
Follow this link to read how their advert reads:http://jobreportdaily.net/finance-journal/7dailyjob.html

  4. I tried this 3 days ago at the request of a colleague who wanted to know if this way real, using a disposable credit card number with just 3 euro credit left, I have received calls since then telling me about development plans and expensive training plans for developing and marketing my site, since I am a freelance website developer I was already wise to this sort of scam, but I have to say they went very professional about it, another person would be easily swayed with this, and would be in trouble if using a real credit card.

    1. cancel ur credit card, b quick about it! ur card number is "floating" the moment, after u sign up, it is ready to be ripped through the system, tell ur dumb bank "you" just gave out all ur personal info and they "the Bank" should be looking forward to watching ur life go to KaKa,,, tell them to re-issue u a new card, once you have advised the bank of ur security problem they are obligated to correct the problem.
All it takes is a name and address, or name and credit card, followed with your identiy and access to your hard earned money.
We have alowed the banks and govenments to create a control system for money called credit and debit cards, fools... it's easyer to steal ur money when it's not cash in ur pocket, why would I break into ur home or rob you , when it's far safer for the criminals to work from home... er ah ya "somembody" is personally responsible for over 300+ break and enters before they were 19, but now thanks to the banks and credit system your money is really thier's.
but truly there is no such thing as security in computing, if you know how to program with 1100010100100010101101110111110 one's and zero's then there is no security... This one time lesson is a gift
ps the banks did not want you to know this...

  6. If disputing a payment with your bank / credit card provider fails just say that you have lost your card. They will issue you with a new one with a new number.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please be aware that simply cancelling your card and having it re-issued under a new number will not solve the problem. Any existing continuous card authorisations from the previous card will be automatically transferred to the new one. The bank WILL NOT cancel these kind of payments. Your only course of action is to report it to your bank as fraud but be aware also that they will only act if they believe it to be fraud, and or that they have continued to charge your account after you have taken provable steps to cancel your agreement. (From an ex bank employee)

  7. After I entered my personal info, it said something like "the offer has expired, and no amount will be charged to your credit card". But then, i came across this review, and immediately called my bank and only to find out that there was an attempt to charge $1.95 to my card, however, it was blocked by the bank on the ground that it looked like a fraud.

I was tempted when I saw the adv "Stay At Home Mum (Here is Melissa Jung) Makes S$10,000/Month" (http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a/sg/)just last night.
I already filled in the form with personal information & luckly I stopped when it came to second page that asking for payment... hmmm smell a rat here...
Then this early morning, the guy named JR Reilly called, he's from Internet Solution Source company. Looks like real, sounds very very expert & confident too. Trying to get me to pay for $1.95 and ask me about the credit card info. Again God is good!
I could say "NO" - I do not want to register/pay now & I need time to check.
He also mentioned if I change my mind or need help, there's free tol no that can be called: +800 101 2542. And he called from this no: +1 (602) 772 5030.
For anyone that need this information... feel free to use it.

  15. Call your bank and disrupt your payments. After the initial 1.95$ charge, mymonthlywebfee.com will keep charging. even if you have cancelled the program still contact your bank and have the payments disrupted and yes if you have given them your email and phone no then you will be spammed but no need to worry as Gmail, Hotmail are getting really good in identifying spam mails and will pull these kind of emails into the spam folder.

  16. I was considering trying this. I had put in my name and done the availability check. It went to the next page asking for my card details and saying it would debit card $1.95 for the 5 day trial then $29.95 each month. It was at this point that I decided to googled onlinecareerpackage first and found this site. Obviously I will be going no further with it.

    One person has commented
Melissa Johnson the girl featured on the ad does not exist in Brisbane Australia, please note that Brisbane's weathre is sub tropical and we do not have the trees and the autum leaves featured in the photo. The whole thing is a scam!

True. I live in Liverpool, England and on the web page I am looking at it says she is from Liverpool. Obviously the website software is checking your location from your computer before it populates the webpage with the details of where the Melissa is from to make you feel more secure as part of the con.

As far as the people who have given their card details are concerened. As one person has said, report you card as lost. The bank will cancel the card and issue you with a new one with a different number.

Someone else said their bank told them to contact the company and tell them I do not want to proceed with the payments. When you reach page where you enter your card details it has the message at the bottom telling you about the $1.95 debit for the 5 day trial, the $29.95 each month and also saying you can cancel anytime by phoning them. See their message below including the phone number to cancel. If that fails just report you card lost and it will be candelled. Hope this helps.

Just had a phone from them. About 20 mins after sending them my details. Luckily I did not send my card details.

  17. Just to follow. As I said in previous post I received a phone call from them about 20 mins after I send me details. I told the person I thought it was a scam and that the same girl Melissa was from various different owns and he told me he had not seen the website. I aked "you have not seen your own companies website and he said yes" very doubtful. I asked him how many people worked for his company and he did not say. I told him he could be working out of his bedroom. He told me it was not a scam because he signs you up as an affiliate to Amazon and asked me "have you heard of Amazon". I told him I had and also told him about the people on this site who had been told there was no more places and no money would be taken from their account and it was. I then told him not to bother me any further. So there you have it. It is just another affiliate program. One of thousands.

  29. Hi Everyone. Glad to have read this post. I use a simple trick to scew telemarketers such as these who call me unsoloicited or who are trying to screw me. Remember, for them time is money. The trick is to keep them on the phone waiting for you as long as possible. Keep making excuses for them to hold: say thigs like 'hold on, i'll be right back'. Then come back in three to five minutes to see if they are still there. Most of the them will still be holding. If they are still holding, make another excuse to get them to hold for anothe five minutes, and so on.
Remember, the longer you keep them holding, the lmore you are waisting their money, and the less opportunity they have to screw anyone else.
If we all did this, maybe they will get frustrated enough and stop calling.

    1. Spot on. I do it to all unsolicited calls. They are easy to detect instantly. There will be a gap before they speak and they will invariably get you name slightly wrong and never ask directly for a member of the household: it will be either/or or they will assume ie. Is mr or Mrs ... there? or... Is that Mr ... ? I also do same with the email scams... you know... I have $60 million dollars I need to get out the country... just keep replying with questions and sound enthusiastic until you get bored.

A couple of minutes later I got a phone call from someone (didn't speak very good english)stating that it was a fab site and if I didn't like the goods on my Amazon page that they were going to set up for me I could change them and that I didn't need to go on it every day. They said it was too good an opportunity to miss and was ending that day (it is still coming up on the jobsite I log onto (jobrapido), so that sort of makes you think it must be real if it's on a job site.
The caller practically demanded that I get my card and pay them over the phone. I simply told them I had lost my card and needed to end the call so could contact my bank. I wonder if they will call me back!!!

Thank goodness for sites like this. Saved me from making a real idiot of myself. The testimonials which are now obviously false are what started to erode my cynisism as the amounts earned were realistic. The big dollar promises are what have me running the other way.

I was going to wait a couple of days and see if the offer was still ending tommorrow.

That I have entered in my details makes me cringe at the phone call that I am likely to get.

  55. I had my doubts when I read the story. But I still went ahead and sign up, thinking that this could really be a god-send solution for me to increase my income. Plus it was only a nominal $1.95. Even when I read that after 5 days, there will be a monthly charge of $29.95 to my card, I was still thinking that the amount is acceptable if I can really make that much money from it. It was only when I could not access the link to login to my account after trying for many times, did I realise that something is not right. I went to Google it and found this website. After reading all the comments here, I called up my bank straightaway. While they cannot stop the payment of $1.95 as it has already been processed, they immediately blocked my account and offered to issue me with a new card and a new card number. The bank assured me that this will ensure that the merchant has no way to charge anymore payments to my card in future. I can only say that this is the first time I'm caught in such a scam and it will also be the last time... I will not believe such online money making stories anymore...

Almost 99.9% of them would end up being scammed! Do NOT believe anything they say cos' in the end, they will suck your money month after month! They suddenly became very helpful, and all has been satisfactory ever since

  65. Whoa, apparently the girl is from singapore, melissa jung. Lol. This girl musta be living all over the world huh. Hahaha.

  66. Well all I can say is that she's truely a Global citizen having homes in almost all continents, countries & states. They just called this morning just as someone earlier had mentioned, just before 8am. The joker on the line asked for the CC details and said that the conversation was being recorded & "we are a million dollar company so be assured that we are legit" YA right! When he kept asking for the CC details I told him that the CC belongs to my husband & I asked him to email the full company details & explain in that email as to how the entire procees works. The joker gave an excuse that it was not possible to keep sending emails to people who want this type of info. (Folks if all that don't send the warning bells off, then good luck to you)
From my experience I never give my CC details & wait for them to call me so that I can make a quick assement of the caller & the company. 10 out 10 time I've been prove right. As I go by my gut feel & the first feel is always right. (SINGAPORE)

  67. This is all very enlightening!! Thanks for this review as I was tempted but my suspicion got the better of me. I filled in the first part of the form (like an idiot) giving my email and phone number but decided against the rest. Minutes later I have 3 calls that I didn't take at the time.I dialled to find out the no of the unanswered call which was 6027725030, tried to dial back but it was not recognized. However took a call this evening from one of these smooth operators and told her I wanted to know more about how the scheme worked etc. but once I told her my CC wouldn't be valid she quickly cooled . . but said if I did set up an account with a new card to call them back on 1800 550 499. Have not tried to call back but if that no is of any use to anyone?

It would be great if these scam schemes were exposed by official channels. incidentally the universal Melissa Johnson is a member of the Irish republic!

Just yesterday they asked me to purchase some kind of package which cost $500plus onwards as a marketing tool to get more internet trafic to my site and today before getting to know abt this, i decided to purchase it tomorrow. Lucky me i guess LUCK is still with me.

  103. I filled up my form and it shown payment approved. Then the next page tells me to select a 'package' to boost my website revenue. It was only till then that it dawn on me that this could be a scam. It was 2am this morning. I immediately went to google and came upon this website. Sigh. How did I become this stupid to believe in this...
I just requested to cancel my website (?), I don't know if it cancels the whole account because I couldn't find an option for that. Then I called up my bank to terminate my card and asked for a new issuance as well. That costed me $5 for loss replacement. I also had my last transaction checked up and SGD$2.48 was deducted on 2am for a website. Ok. I still couldn't accept this foolish act of mine :(

  104. Most of us are sucked into it for one reason: We really want what it has to offer. Ever since the age of computers has come in, we were promised an easier lifestyle to which we could "sit around and let the computer work for us!" but, sadly, it is not to be yet. So these horrible people exploit our desires. Much like politicians. We all want the quick and easy way to make money! It would be great! Put in 15 hours a week, get back thousands a month! But instead we have to work 40-50 hours a week. Some are paid well, some aren't. I'm glad I read this! Cos now I'm going to enter my phone number. 117. Man! Why didn't I read this blog before I stupidly gave away my card details?!? Rosie Garzs from Internet Solutions Source called earlier from Arizona. She has my contact details, address and confirmed I logged on to the "work from home" website but I didn't register. Thinking she's representing Amazon.com, Sony and Internet Solutions Source company, it sounds legit. At first, I was a bit reluctant to give my card details but she convinced me it's real, provided me with her DDI: 0800 451568, her extn: 2214 and Customer Support: 0800456224 details, which I can cancel my account any time. She was persistent and pushy at the end, so it got me thinking. My instinct tells me something is not right, so I immediately cancelled my card after the conversation with her. Hopefully I can get my USD$59.95 back in contrary to the USD$1.95 you guys have mentioned above. Also, to stop the monthly payments of USD$29.95. Many thanks to all your postings as it really helps wake my stupidity. :~( From NZ

  124. How are people naive enough to actually believe these scams? If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is. I'm sorry, but if they've managed to fool you with something this elementary, it's unethical, but fair play to them - you need to be smarter than that.

  126. Melissa Johnson sure likes moving around the world to make her money. I just saw an ad from her and now she as changed her name to Theresa Andrews! Her photo can be bought by anyone, it's a stock photo. I feel sorry for anyone who falls for this shit. Anyone can make up anything and put it on a website, including fake testimonials.

  127. Hi everyone. I couldn't believe that Melissa Jung had been around since year 2000. I stumpled on this 'make-"big"-money' news in August2013. I nearly fell for this; I nearly signed up. Then I also saw a Malaysian (he claimed - didn't quite get his name;now I can't locate his video) & a S'porean -Sherman Chu? who also promoted some websites quick bucks. Mr Sherman 'sells' his tricks for S$67 to 1000 people. By the time i decided to give it a try, it has expired. S$67 rang a bell to an article I read above somewhere.(was 67 S.pounds)
Just grateful that I hadn't acted on it, though my hubby warned me against it & I stubbornly had wanted to try it. I also read many similar ones - there's Timothy Alexander (USA) who showed off his yacht & super cars & others.
Just wanna thank you all who have contributed your articles/experiences so others (dreamers like me) are warned/prevented from hurt.
    Thank you again, Little Star
    (S'pore)

  130. hahahaha, for all of you I have an interesting thing, this is the URL

    http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a2/sa/

replace the last word i.e "sa" with "in", "pk", "uk" & other countries then check the result :D

    example : http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a2/pk/
    http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a2/in/
    http://www.careerjournalonline.com/newsupdate/workfromhome/trifu/0eu2lm77a2/uk/

All webpages are designed accordingly :P brilliant scam.!!!
but when you go on their website (http://www.careerjournalonline.com) you will find nothing.

Stay safe, don't trust anyone online.

  135. I saw this ad last year and also this year. I decided to click on it and read the responses on the website. I also read the terms and conditions or legal liability and closed the webpage. Again few days later I clicked on the add to see if anyone else entered the new response. And surprise surprise, no new response but the dates of all the posted responses changed to fit within the current date and last 4 days. Its hilarious. Go to website tomorrow and see that the response remain same but the dates change.

  136. The first clue was the links all bring you back to the same page...I mean from an online view point.

However the first real clue to this being a scam is that the 'content' just doesn't tell what it is these people are doing to earn the money!!! 101 in scam detection - if its too good to be true then it probably is..

    ReplyDelete
  137. It is advised to check for the authenticity of the site and ask people if what they claim is for real. If the promises sound too good they probably are scams. Beware of sharing your credit card number with them. They will trick you psychologically, so better get a knowledge about latest scam activities in the world.

    1. I just signed up for this. I gave them my details and they took out $1.95 from my acct. I have cancelled my credit card. But they can still access my details name address etc coz I give it out. My sister in law is in fraud and told me to go to this website http://mycreditfile.com.au/. For $100 a year it protects against people setting up orher credit cards in your name. They alert you if this happens and ask if it's you or not. I feel so stupid and dumb. It's something I would never do but I did it and now I feel sick for doing it.
